Astro Films is one of Pakistan’s leading flexible packaging film suppliers, manufacturing BOPP, CPP, and BOPET Films as a fully owned and operated subsidiary of Ismail Industries Limited. Operating from the port city of Karachi, Astro Films was established in 2003 starting with a CPP film production line from Gruppo Colines (Italy). Today, Astro Films is a regionally and globally recognized brand in the flexible packaging industry; offering dynamic flexible packaging solutions across 3 film categories; BOPP, CPP and BOPET; having a combined installed film production capacity of 80,000 tons/annum and metallization capacity of 19,000 tons/annum.

Astro Films is operating out of two locations; Hub and Port Qasim industrial areas. Our production facility and equipment are detailed below:

CPP

  • 3.0 meters CPP line from Gruppo Colines (Italy); with capacity of 7,800 tons/annum (2003)
  • 2.6 meters CPP line from Gruppo Colines (Italy); with capacity of 7,200 tons/annum (2014)

BOPET

  • 6.7 meters BOPET line from Bruckner (Germany); with capacity of 18,000 tons/annum (2012)
  • 8.7 meters BOPET line from Bruckner (Germany); with capacity of 42,000 tons/annum (2020)

BOPP

  • 4.0 meters BOPP line from Bruckner (Germany); with capacity of 4,200 tons/annum (2011)

Metallization

  • 1.60 meters Metallizer from General Vacuum (UK): with capacity of 3,500 tons/annum (2006)
  • 2.45 meters Metallizer from General Vacuum (UK): with capacity of 7,000 tons/annum (2012)
  • 2.75 meters Metallizer from General Vacuum (UK): with capacity of 8,500 tons/annum (2017)
